About SWP Training and our direction and vision

SWP Training was set up in 2025, following 12 years of local and personal development, to provide services to a range of groups through specialist training and educational engagement.

The key areas of delivery are targeted, bespoke training in Safeguarding, Wellbeing, and Positive Behaviour Support. We are also committed to the education of young people with SEN, particularly those in care.

Our services are delivered across five areas:

• Bespoke training for organisations
   
• Community training for small charities and community interest companies
   
• A Wellbeing Centre providing services to the local community through partnership arrangements
   
• Tutoring and targeted training through our alternative provision for young people in care and/or with SEN
   
• Private tutoring

Hi I'm Shaun, and I bring a depth of experience to support organisations, professionals, and communities in the following areas:

• Over 25 years’ experience as a Practitioner and Manager in Safeguarding (children and adults)
   
• Nearly 30 years’ experience as a School Governor, Trustee, Safeguarding Lead, Chair, and Vice-Chair
   
• Formal involvement in 14 OFSTED inspections, all achieving Outstanding or Good outcomes
   
• Almost 25 years’ experience as a Foster Carer, and now providing volunteer support to foster carers
   
• 12 years as Director, then Executive Head, of an Alternative Provision and Independent School
   
• Senior Mental Health Lead
   
• Designated Safeguarding Lead (12 years)
   
• Children in Care Lead (12 years)
   
• 12 years’ experience establishing, or supporting the establishment of, local businesses that now employ people from the Ashfield and Mansfield communities
