About SWP Training and our direction and vision

SWP Training- set up in 2025, following 12 years of local and personal development, to provide services to various groups through specialist training and education engagement.

The key areas of delivery are targeted bespoke training in Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Positive Behaviour Support. We are also committed to the education of young people with SEN, especially those in Care.

The services come in four aspects,

- provide bespoke training for organisations

-provide community training for small charities and community interest companies

- a Wellbeing Centre providing services to the local community through partnership arrangements

-provide tutoring and targetted training through our alternative provision for young people in care and/or with SEN.

-provide private tutoring.

My name is Shaun and I bring experience to support you in the following areas,

-Over 25 years as a Practitioner and Manager in Safeguarding (Child and Adult)

-Almost 30 years experience as a School Governor, Trustee, Safeguarding Lead, Chair V-Chair...

- in 14 OFSTED Inspections where I have been formally involved there has always been OUTSTANDING or GOOD as the rating

-Almost 25 years experience as a Foster Carer and now FC volunteer support

-12 years as a Director then Executive Head of Alt Provision and Independent School

-Senior Mental Health Lead

-School Designated Safeguarding Lead (12 y) 

-School Children in Care Lead (12 years)

-12 years experience of set up or supported set up of local businesses now employing many people from the Ashfield and Mansfield Communities.
